L. Mangue was born in the windy little city of Santa Maria, CA, where she lived with her parents until she was four years old. Lompoc, CA served as home for three more years then a final move to Santa Barbara, CA with her parents, where she spent nearly 30 years of her life. Two of L. Mangue's greatest interests as a child were all of the animals in her busy little neighborhood and creative communication, much to the frustration (at times) of her parents. Her childhood was typical...playing and learning. It was in Jr. High School that L. Mangue discovered the pleasures of fine arts and was hooked. By Senior High School she was asked to help restore an old mural in the main hall (which still stands today), had joined the AP program and was honored with an award for her achievements in art. From there she worked on various independent film projects, in front of and behind the cameras (acting to storyboarding) and was included in a feature article in Cinemagic magazine on The Perfect Robot Baby. She also worked in front of the camera as an uncredited actor/extra in several film and TV productions. Including: Robocop, Promises to Keep, Paint It Black, Santa Barbara and a commercial for Freixenet (sparkling wine) in Spain. She was represented by agents in Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Los Angeles in the US; Barcelona and Paris, in Europe. LM has studied art, art history, film, general studies, business, real estate and life and works full-time pursuing her professional artistic endeavors. EDUCATION: Santa Barbara Community College; UCLA (brief attendance only); Santa Barbara Museum of Art - docent studies; Century 21 - Real Estate; WEV - Women's Economic Ventures - Business school CAREER BITS: L.
